Performance Comparison Between LQD and Franklin Income Fund (FKINX)

Franklin Income Fund is good as a  retirement fund in a way that it has gone through many market crashes, and maintain decent performance throghout the years. LQD did pretty good as well. I want to find out which is better as a retirement asset.

LQD has a smoother upward curve and was doing better than FKINX. But we can still see LQD  has worse performance than FKINX during the Covid-19 crisis.

Conclusion

FKINX beats LQD about 50% of the times. LQD has a average annuallized return of 6.088% while FKINX's is 6.853. FKINX is better than LQD in mean returns. THe standatd deviaion for annualized return for LQD is 0.12% while FKINX's is 0.28%. FKINX has more than twice of LQD's standard deviaion. In general FKINX is a good fund comparing with LQD.
